Horgan, who had been red-shirting, also played for the first time, with 10 points and eight rebounds … After losing eight of its first 10, Chattanooga has won four of five, including a 74-70 win over SoCon foe Samford … Z Mason, a 6-5, 238-pound junior, leads the Mocs with 13.6 ppg and 7.0 rpg.

After a slow start, the Mocs have rallied to win four of their last five, the lone loss a competitive effort in a 74-58 defeat at Georgia Tech … Freshman G Farad Cobb has been forced into the fray and had 16 points and four rebounds in the win over Samford … Most of the Mocs’ issues seem to be on offense, where their turnover percentage (23.7, No. 304) is almost as bad as The Citadel’s (26.3, No. 341). The Mocs are a pretty good rebounding team, ranking first in the SoCon in rebounding marging. Mason, 6-5 and 238 pounds, played two years of football at Ole Miss, redshirting one season.
