Citadel basketball got a commitment this week from Jake Wright, a 6-4 shooting guard from Hopkins High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Here’s a highlight reel of Wright, described as one of the top 3-point shooters in Minnesota. Last season, he averaged 18 points per game, shooting 43 percent from 3-point range. At the Peach Jam this summer, he averaged 8.2 points and shot 43.3 percent from long distance. His AAU team won a national title this summer.
Here’s a scouting report from metro youth sports media, which ranked him the No. 12 player in Minnesota for 2013-14:
12) Jake Wright SG/SF 6’3 Hopkins- High basketball IQ, works well without the ball. Works in the offense, spaces and runs the courts well. Elite spot up, deep range and clutch shooter. Can be a liability on defense against aggressive wing athletes and ball movement. Can be A high caliber player with the understanding of his weakness and strengths.
