Citadel will start Austin (Pritcher or Livingston) vs. Elon

One thing is for sure when The Citadel takes the field on Sunday to play Elon for the Southern Conference title game.

The Bulldogs will start a pitcher named Austin. Whether it is senior ace Austin Pritcher or freshman Austin Livingston remains to be seen.

SoCon commish has had enough

After losing five of his schools in recent months, Southern Conference commissioner John Iamarino sounds like he’s fed up.

Typically, the commish has greeted these departures with corporate-speak about what “valuable partners” the schools have been, yada, yada. Not so with Elon, which left for the Colonial Athletic Association on Thursday:
