Brown was a ballyhooed QB recruit early in his high school career — so ballyhooed that somebody created this facebook page urging Steve Spurrier to recruit the 6-4, 220-pounder to USC.

When news of Davidson’s move from the Southern Conference to the Atlantic 10 broke on Tuesday, SoCon commissioner John Iamarino was surprised.
As Davidson made the move official Wednesday, Iamarino’s reaction had officially changed to “disappointed.”

SoCon closes in on new members
The Southern Conference is closing in on three new members to replace departing schools Georgia Southern, App State and College of Charleston.
Citadel honors Gerber Baby, Odie, Ugi
The Citadel held a brief ceremony Wednesday at Bond Hall to honor some nationally recognized athletes, including basketball player Mike Groselle and All-Amercan wrestlers Odie Delaney and Ugi Khishignyam.
Citadel baseball on NCAA bubble?
The Citadel’s baseball team had a 10-game win streak snapped in Saturday night/Sunday morning’s 14-10 loss at Furman, but the last two weeks have been great for the Bulldogs.
In fact, they might be close to climbing on to the bubble for the 64-team NCAA Tournament.
