Cougars still trying to figure out how to win; Scouting Drexel

Another tough loss for the Cougars on Saturday against Towson. Another game they could have and should have won.

Taking the positives from the losses to Delaware and Towson, is that the Cougars could have won both games and they were played on the road. They had leads late in the game against both Towson and Delaware.

Cougars need to forget Delaware loss; Scouting Towson

There’s just no way to sugarcoat the loss at Delaware on Wednesday night.

The Cougars had a 20-point lead with eight minutes left in the game and lost mainly due to 26 turnovers and their inability to hit free throws down the stretch. Call it what you want – a choke job, a collapse – whatever adjective you think fits.

If the Cougars are going to be a viable threat to win the conference tournament, a win against Delaware on the road would be a huge step in the right direction.

Delaware’s Devon Saddler has scored more than 2,000 points during his career.

Will Cougars rebound from James Madison loss? Scouting William & Mary

As I wrote in Sunday’s P&C print edition the inconsistent play in the Cougars backcourt continues to plagued them.

Let’s face it, they were not very good in the loss to James Madison. Nori Johnson had some looks that I thought he passed up and probably should have taken, especially with the way he’s been shooting in CAA play.

W&M guard Marcus Thornton is averaging 19 points a game.
