Everyone knows that yoga can help stretch the body, but few people realize it can also be a powerful tool for stretching the imagination, too.
A workshop combining the ancient practice of yoga with social painting will explore the idea that mindfully moving the body enhances the creative process on Saturday, November 23rd at 10 a.m. at Fear No Easel in Mount Pleasant, SC.
“I’ve been a writer for more than 10 years, so believe me when I say that I’ve experienced my share of creative blockages,” said Erica Rodefer Winters, who is the online contributing editor for Yoga Journal magazine and a yoga teacher.
“Nothing has helped me get past those frustrating moments than yoga, chatting with a good friend, and trying something totally different to give me a fresh perspective. This workshop will offer all of the above.”
The class will consist of an hour-long guided yoga instruction led by Rodefer Winters, featuring a sequence designed specifically to unleash creativity, followed by an hour-long painting class.
“Participants will walk away with a fresh perspective, a smile on their faces, and a lovely yoga-inspired painting to proudly display in their homes,” said Rodefer.
