I don’t know about you, but I’ve been pretty busy these past couple of months getting ready for next year. Now, the time has come when I’m allowed to share the news it has been so difficult to keep quiet about.
Get ready to see a brand new Lowcountry Parent next year! 
We’ve been working on a complete redesign of the magazine and can’t wait to reveal the new look in January.
Another exciting new development is that the magazine will now be available in Harris Teeter and Piggly Wiggly grocery stores beginning in January.
Want your child on our cover next year?
One of the things I look forward to every month is our cover shoot. It can be tough on those little models, but they have all risen to the occasion.
So much work goes into the planning of the covers, and I am lucky to have such talented help styling and photographing the children.

One question I am often asked is how to get your child on the cover of Lowcountry Parent magazine.
The answer: Enter them in the annual Cover Kids Event.
Next year we are holding it on March 16 as part of our Lowcountry Parent Camp and Education Fair.

Why not get ahead of the game and go ahead and register your child? The earlier, the better. Every year year we fill up quickly.
Remember, we require a photo of your child that was not taken by a professional. That is important. Please don’t send professional shots.
Children will be photographed at the event by a professional and that photo will be placed in a portfolio. We’ll use that portfolio when we need children for articles, advertisements and, of course, the cover.
This year we are opening it up to parents, too! So let us know if you are interested in modeling for us as well.
