Tyler McNeely signs with team in Germany

Tyler McNeely won’t be back in a South Carolina Stingrays uniform next season.

McNeely signed a one-year deal with the Starbulls Rosenheim, a Division II team in Germany.

This is great news for Tyler McNeely, but sad news for the Stingrays. Tyler was a true professional on and off the ice and a class act.

Despite playing in just 41 games, McNeely was the Stingrays second-leading scorer a season ago with 13 goals and 31 assists. He and Hunter Bishop proved to be a powerful combination on the Rays top line a year ago.

McNeely also played with the AHL’s Providence Bruins (GP: 4, 0G, 1A, 1 Pt.) and Lake Erie Monsters (GP: 27, 1G, 7A, 8 Pts).
