Andrew, have you heard if they will be looking for a replacement? There are at least two ex Stingray D-men living in the area. In my opinion either would make a good assistant coach if they were willing.

I would like to know if the All Star format is going to change back. I liked the old way. More guys that deserved being All Stars should be able to participate. I will make a difference is their careers..I would also like to see it here as well.

Thanks to everyone out there who has sent along their congratulations the last couple of days.
It’s been a good couple of days.
Ego getting out of control.
I did forget to thank one group of people — the Stingray fans and our P&C readers. If not for you guys I wouldn’t have a job. It’s something I try not to forget.

BTW…sure is nice being able to watch so many former Rays in the NHL Playoffs. They have all played key roles very well .Reimer and Peverly really looked great, as have Holtby and Engelland.

Generally speaking, unless a guy signs overseas during the summer like Zaps did, we don’t hear much about them until we start gearing up for the new season. We should see our protected list and season-ending roster in early- to mid-June, with qualifying offers going out at the beginning of July. Player signings usually start trickling in late July to early August and continue through to the beginning of the season. Early October (after NHL and AHL training camps) is generally when we find out who we’re getting assigned from affiliates.

Sometimes if guys stop playing, they just fall off the hockey map. http://www.eliteprospects.com keeps pretty good track of most guys.
