Members of the Republican Governor’s Association are meeting in Charleston this week in what’s expected to be a low-key gathering.
Very little of the event will be open to the media.
While Gov. Nikki Haley will take part, her office said, the biggest sigh of relief comes from attendee North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory.
Back in Raleigh today, college students and other young people are planning a mass march around the Executive Mansion targeting voting changes approved by the Republican-led North Carolina legislature.
McCrory won’t be there to hear the latest installment of that state’s Moral Monday protest march.
