You never really need a good reason to splurge on coffee and donuts, but Dunkin Donuts is giving us one anyway.
Charleston affiliates of the Dunkin’ Donuts chain are collecting donations for the MUSC Children’s Hospital through Oct. 13. All customers are asked to donate $1 to the hospital in an effort to raise money for children’s books, toys and games that help young patients feel more comfortable during their hospital visit.
“A big part of what makes the MUSC Children’s Hospital experience so special is the fact that we devote so much time and energy into making our patients feel as safe, comfortable, happy and stress-free as possible during their stay with us,” said Barbara Rivers, Director of Development with MUSC Children’s Hospital Fund. “This partnership will help us do that in a very tangible way.”
Funds raised at local Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants also benefit the Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation, which supports neighborhood-based initiatives to address hunger, safety, and children’s health.
